Welcome! I'm a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and therapist with over 20 years of experience helping individuals, families, and communities thrive. Currently, I'm pursuing a Doctor of Social Work (DSW) at Capella University to further deepen my knowledge and enhance the support I provide in my practice.
My work has spanned a broad range of areas, including mental health, child welfare, juvenile justice, and family dynamics. I specialize in individual, family, and marriage counseling, along with specific areas like anger management and substance abuse. My approach is all about creating a safe, supportive environment where we can work together on practical solutions that build resilience, self-awareness, and meaningful change.
Beyond my direct practice, I have years of experience leading programs in child welfare and juvenile justice. As a leader within the Family Assessment Program (FAP) PINS Diversion Program, I managed complex juvenile justice contracts, supervised teams of clinical consultants, and developed protocols to support the well-being of youth and families. This background in program development and administration allows me to bring a unique, systems-based perspective to my work with clients, understanding how larger structures can influence individual and family well-being.
My approach is rooted in a diverse background that includes clinical counseling, program development, and leadership across mental health, child welfare, and juvenile justice. With experience in individual and family counseling, crisis intervention, and managing interdisciplinary teams, I bring both depth and breadth to my work. I aim to create an empowering and collaborative environment where clients feel supported as they build resilience and work toward meaningful change. This experience shapes my commitment to practical, client-centered care that honors each person's unique journey.
