We also run the Batterer's Accountability Program

If you've been charged with battery, you may be able to complete the Batterer's Accountability Program instead of going to jail. We follow the Duluth Model, which involves:

  • Shifting the responsibility of victim safety to the community and the state
  • Sharing the same definitions of danger, warning signs, accountability and safety
  • Emphasizing the experiences and emotions of the victims to create new policies
You'll meet with a counselor on a biweekly basis for 26 sessions. Our goal is to rehabilitate you and hold you accountable for your actions. Before being discharged, the court, your victim and the community all have to agree that you're stable enough to return to society.
